Hi!

 

I’m Mikkel and this is my postgraduate website. It contains some of the works that I have made before, during and besides my studies at the Aarhus school of architecture.

 

I’m interested in the exploration of how we can build a more sustainable future, using biogenic materials. I find it interesting how these new materials can inspire a new architectural aesthetic, and how we can impose them in both rural and urban contexts.

I have previously worked with ways of imposing circular economy in the built environment, how to use digital fabrication and augment design processes when developing architecture. I have also focused on model making, as well as product design in wood and I generally find materiality, textures, and tactility to be the key focus of great design. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to materialize a couple of my projects and learned valuable lessons about dwelling architecture.

 

 

In my 5th semester i studied at Ecóle polytechnique fedérale de Lausanne under the atelier Frölich BA5.
